I used to demonstrate Epson printers and had access to all brands of printer and paper. One of the things I used to enjoy doing is print a photo on an Epson printer using Epson paper and Epson Claria ink (6 color) and put in a bottle of plain drinking water and put the date on the bottle. Six (6) months later the photo still looked like new with all the ink and paper fully intact. YOU CAN'T DO THAT WITH ANYONE ELSE'S PRODUCTS. Epson ink and paper are designed to work together to give you photos that will last much longer than your lifetime.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. I bought some of Epson's "Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy" and had some leftover Canon "Photo Paper Pro Platinum" Glossy both in 4x6 size. Printed out the same picture, both looked really great to me. Note, I'm no pro so take my comments for what they're worth. Very, very slight difference in coloration but I couldn't say one was better than the other.
