Does this work with a 5g wireless router? null

The XP-7100 or any Epson printer only supports 2.4 GHz frequency. If you are using a 5 GHz wireless router, set the router to operate in dual band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) mode. If your router uses a single network name (SSID) for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band, give each band its own network name (SSID) instead, such as Home Network 2.4 GHz and Home Network 5 GHz.

No. I have my router configured to broadcast different SSID's for 2.4G and 5G. The printer auto-discovered and connected to the 2.4G network, but when I attempted to force it by manually entering the SSID and password for the 5G it failed to find the network.

My router is split to 5G and 2.4G and my Epson 7840 won't recognize either.
