• Hi daliagardener, The XP-7100 has a hardware resolution of 2400 dpi, and can use software to interpolate to 4800 dpi. The bit depth is Input: 48-bit color / 16-bit Grayscale & Black/White Output: 24-bit color / 8-bit Grayscale & Black/White. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.

• Depend on your resolution setting. The higher dpi the more space for storage
