“My printer keeps smearing black ink on my envelopes and card stock. I've changed out the cartridges and ran all the maintenance for cleaning. Is there anything else that will fix this problem? It's only a couple of years old.”

There is a small piece of foam on the right side when you open it up to change the ink cartridges. The printer cleans its nozzles on this sponge and it fills up with ink. Then the ink gets on the print head and smears on whatever you're printing. Clean the foam and you will be OK for a while.
