Hello drod. Yes, the XP-7100 includes ink pads that are used to collect, distribute, and contain ink that is not used on printed pages. If your printer displays that the ink pads need to be replaced and your product is under a standard warranty, Epson will exchange or replace the printer. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
