“Are the ink cartridges that come in the box with a new unit full use cartridges or just adequate for setup and intial printing. In other words, do you need to immediately install new ink cartridges?”

I asked that, too. They are marked "i" for initial, but Epson told me they are regular capacity. I can tell you that after set up and quite a few documents and photos printed, the ink levels are still above 50%. So they are at least of a reasonable capacity. But I accept that I will be buying expensive ink fequently.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not sure if they are full use cartridges but we bought our XP-7100 on 2/22/2019 and have printed quite a bit of documents and it still shows over 1/2 of ink level on all cartridges.
