You can scan receipts, cardstock cards and plastic gift cards easily. You can do several receipts at a time, but only maybe one card at a time. You have to play with it and see how many it can take. I have had a few jams when the paper/cardstock was too thick. All in all, it is a very good scanner. You can set it to scan both sides or just one side of the document. It will autocorrect the side that is the front of the document. It is great for photographs. Attached are a scan of a Walmart receipt and a plastic gift card.
