To get a truly flat scanning surface, buy a sheet of clear glass cut to the same size as the scanning surface to raise the surface above the frame.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The frame around the glass is raised. The glass will accommodate a 17x12 document. I have not tried stitching sections together, so I cannot comment on that.
