QuestionI am using the epson V39 scanner and it has stopped in a crooked manner in the center of the unit. This occurred while doing a preview of pictures. What can I do to reset the internal moving bar?

- Answer To get a truly flat scanning surface, buy a sheet of clear glass cut to the same size as the scanning surface to raise the surface above the frame.

- Answer The manual says yes but I have not tried as I converted mine long time ago. When I look at it, I don't have a lot of confidence that it would do a great job - ok, yes, great no.

QuestionI can't find any reference to scanning slides, although I see this scans both negatives and prints. Does it scan 35mm slides? If so is an attachment needed?

- Answer Scanning slides not advisable with any flatbed scanner. Best bet - go to a real camera store and get a slide copier adapter to work with a macro lens SLR or decent point 'n shoot camera.

QuestionWill this scanner scan multiple slides at once? My current scanner has a plastic "tray" that you lay on the scanner bed with the slides, and it scans all of them at once into a unique .jpg. If not, can it do one at a time?
