• Yes. It comes with a high speed USB cable. My in-laws have it connected by USB cord and it works great. I bought mine in December, but have not yet set it up. My in-laws use theirs a lot and love it. I saw how it worked for them and had to get it. Love the way it scans multiple pics and automatically saves them individually.

• Yes. You do not need to be online. There may be software updates at later date though that would require you to download via internet. But, scanner comes with a disc to load the software so you do not have to use internet.
