“Will this scanner work as a stand alone without a computer connection? Does the scanner have a usb port to save the scans to a thumb drive?”

• I looked and I do not see a USB port. But I do sing the praises of this scanner. I have tried other scanner that dissatisfied. I scanned some extremely faded, almost forty-five year old photos and this restored them to their original look. I have scanned almost twelve thousand photos and it continue to do an excellent job.

• Hi Anne, The Perfection V600 requires a USB cable connection to a computer to work. Some of our printer/scanner/copier products have the capability of saving scans to a USB drive without a computer connection. These include the WorkForce Pro WF-3820 and WorkForce Pro WF-4740. Both of which were available at Bestbuy.com at the time this response was written. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
