Hello. Ideally, the EX9240 should be used indoors but will work in well-lit spaces as it uses 4,000 lumens of color and white brightness. The projector can be placed at a distance ranging from 34 to 567 inches, but placement will vary depending on your display size. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
