Did you just purchase the printer? I remember there being a great deal of packaging to be removed from the outside as well as on the inside (where the ink cartridges are). Perhaps there is tape or packaging that wasn’t removed that is causing the issue. I have purchased the Epson C88+ more than once, but never had any issues with them.
