• Can't help with the first part. However this is a great mount that seems to be relatively universal. I would not mount it to a drop ceiling. It has some weight to it and they send you with large lag bolts to mount directly into a stud. I have seen mounts that mount into a wall with a swing arm. I would go that direction. It would not hold in a drop ceiling tile. Hope this was some help.
