• Hello SarahT. The Epson ES-500W II Scanner can scan documents as small as 2" x 2" all the way up to 8.5" x 240" in size. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.

• I haven't tried legal size paper. However, the paper support at the top only accommodates 11" high paper, so my guess is that it will not work for legal sized paper.
