Do the fax and scan still work if the ink is empty? null

If the screen says the ink is too low to use you will not be able to do anything until your replace ink

Hello Stacey. When a color ink cartridge is empty, you can continue to send faxes through the FAX Utility or WF-3820's control panel. If the Save to Inbox setting on the product is set to Off, incoming faxes will automatically print once the expended ink cartridge is replaced. Also, scanning will work if initiated from the control panel of the printer, computer, or the Smart Panel app. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
