Hi Carol, Approximate page yield for the WorkForce Pro WF-3820 using 822 cartridges is 350 pages black and 240 pages color. Using high-capacity 822XL, you can expect 1,100 pages black and 1,100 pages color. The USB port for scanning is located on the front, left hand side of the printer, beneath a cover.
