If you ran a nozzle check and the lines are unbroken and colors are bright, then you could check to make sure that the little yellow tab is pulled off the ink cartridges. (Yes I forgot to do that one time) and it started printing light. If you have checked both of these things and still have a problem, perhaps it is the machine itself. I have had 3 of these exact printers, and ONE was a lemon. It started printing and skipping after only a couple of months. I did not purchase the replacement plan with it but if you bought this from best buy, I highly recommend that. It would have saved me having to eat the cost of an almost new "lemon." Lesson learned.
