“Just purchased this 2 days ago, have a speed sign on the main road by my house, and the max 3 did not make a chirp. Does the sign use radar, I would think it would go off. Any ideas, I'm ready to return this thing.... ??”

If it went off three times and it’s in the same location it stores it and won’t go off anymore

When you pass the exact same frequency in the exact same spot multiple times, the radar detector stores that as a false alert and will stop warning you at that spot. If you WANT to continue to get an alert at that spot, hit the button that will save it as a legit radar trap spot. Then the detector will warn you every time you approach that spot.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Some of those speed signs are on a different frequency . Most dont detect speed with the same signal as aLEO radar unit. There's a youtube video that speaks of this issue (vortex radar).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.speed signs normally use k band. the radar should have picked it and chirped. check your settings if for some reason k band detection is turned off or you have accidentally marked that location to not detect.
