• It depends on the make/model of your car. The most important thing is that the radar has clear sight in the front and back. That is optimal. It's a powerful radar, so it will work even if the rear clearance isn't perfect, but, it would be best if it can get a clear shot both ways. I have a Audi S5 coupe. I placed it directly under my rear view mirror because the car is low profile, and it works great. It hasn't let me down yet (knock on wood). This thing is amazing. Top quality. It's changed the driving experience for me. I feel naked without it.

• I put mine low on the windshield so it does not block my visibility. It is sensitive enough that the location should not matter.
