Not all internal hard drives are plug-and-play compatible with the eufy - 4K NVR S4 Max. To ensure compatibility, a hard drive must meet the following criteria: Type: Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or Solid-State Drive (SSD) with a SATA interface. Size: 2.5 inches. Storage Capacity: Up to 16TB. Recommended Brands: Western Digital, Seagate, SAMSUNG, Kingston, PNY, or Crucial. Peak Power: 6W (5V/1.2A). Additionally, you need to format the hard drive using the device before it will start storing videos. It is recommended to use a new hard drive for the best performance. Regarding purchasing upgraded storage, you would need to source a compatible hard drive separately, as there isn't an in-built option for upgraded storage.
