• Yes. It's where my camera is located and has no problems charging even on cloudy days.

• Nope! If it doesn't get DIRECT sunlight, it won't charge. The difficult part is trying to find the best spot to place these cams to get the sunlight it desires. If all else fails, you can always purchase the optional external solar panel that plugs into the rear of the camera. Then place the external where the sun is not being blocked by any obstructions.
