• The card should work, seeing as the hp p71147c has the 1 PCI-e x16 slot, and a 300w power supply is the minimum for that card, i'm also using a 300w psu and i have this card working now.

• It doesn't appear that you have enough power to support that. You will probably have to upgrade the power supply to at least 350 or 400W before upgrading the video card

• I bought the exact same graphics card for my HP Envy H8 1414 and it works flawlessly. After seeing and reviewing your pc, this card should fit and work just fine. Good thing about this graphics card is that it does not require any extra power supply. It is simply powered by the PCI slot. You will need to upgrade your power supply unit. I suggest 500w minimum.
