“I am upgrading from a 750W EVGA to this 1000W. Question is, may I use my old cables so that I don't have to remove all the custom wiring I did for my 750w PSU? Is there any danger with using the same cables?”

Never mix power supply cables it can destroy your power supply and possibly fry some pc parts

PSU models have different layouts even within brands. While it may work manufacturers would not suggest this. They actively quote against this.

If its from another Evga power supply that is fairly new you shold be fine. Evga's website has a compatibility list.

not all cabling is standard at the power supply, some companies change the wire configuration. The board side will be standard. I would not risk the chance of damage by using the older cables.
