• It will work but check to see if your HP has a standard CD-rom. My HP came with a laptop CD-rom from the factory and there is no connector on the PS for a laptop CD-rom

• No, it is not. The HP Envy desktop looks like it is a SFF type case, and this power supply is meant for mATX and above cases.
