Yes you can choose cloud or micro-SD card storage, does not need both and does not require cloud. In fact it doesn’t require any storage at all. You can watch live on the app without storage and it’ll still alert you when there is motion you just can’t playback the video of that motion. There is an option to record 24/7 however the default is to record only when motion is detected. This is easily switched in the camera settings on the app. I’m not sure what the cloud storage is but it comes with a 30 day free trial when you set it up and I believe the option to pay for more storage space if needed.
