All that is required is consistent/reliable WiFi access and the app that goes with the camera (which is free). This allows you to watch the cameras live only. If you want to be able to watch playback recordings of the footage then you would need a storage option, which is either cloud storage obtained through the app or a micro-SD card that you could purchase on your own.
