A:Answer I use it on my deck. Grabbed a 2 ft x 2 ft square of playwood to place underneath it to protect the deck. I've used it four times and it hasn't discolored my siding or covering. Also, for what it's worth, it hasn't burned the plywood either. Just don't put a new log on a smoldering fire and you won't get much, if any, smoke.
