Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can, i thought initially it was trying to charge me $39.99 for the upgrade and they were. They have it hidden. Every other PS4 game i have downloaded on my ps5 with the disk and digital versions all prompt me with "PS4 / PS5" version download options. It was very straight forward and really easy to do. No cloak and daggers, just upfront and out in the open. Literally 1 click to get the PS4 OR PS5 version of every other game i have. But not for FFVII REMAKE no sir. FFVII Remake only had PS4 option available. I looked and looked and couldnt find the PS5 upgrade. I read the fine print and says PS4 disk owners are elligble for the free upgrade. I couldn't even find it on my specific download. I clicked on the 3 buttons to view product and it still had 39.99. Well you have to click on them again after you are brought to the new screen. Then you finally have several options. One of which is the upgrade for FFVII REMAKE PS4 OWNERS. I think i counted 7 or 8 clicks before i was actually downloading the upgrade. Whereas I mentioned earlier all my other games were 1 click. I have 49 games on my console and of those 15 were free PS5 upgrades that all had the option to choose at the initial download screen which version you wanted. They probably have it set up so confusingly on purpose to try and scam more money. I tried to include all the steps but was only allowed 6 photos. This isn't a rant against Bestbuy at all in the slightest. This is just Sony up to their usual shenanigans trying to squeeze every possible penny and taking advantage of its user's confusion. Hopefully this helps anyone else just now getting into FFVII Remake almost a decade after its announcement at E3 in 2015.

I only bought the PS4 version because its specifically stated there was supposed to be a free upgrade and my PS5 hadnt released, the spider man one.
