you cannot record from firestocky only over the air channels
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1. Yes. The recast communicates with the Fire TV Stick. Unless it is hardwired with a LAN. 2. It does NOT record from the fire stick. It only streams live TV TO it. When you set up a recording from the OTA antenna it records into the Recast box. Then when you want to watch something recorded on the box it streams it TO the fire stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1-No, there is no internet requirement associated with the recast but you would need good antenna reception. 2-It doesn’t record from the fire stick, it only transmits to the fire stick. Nothing streamed from WiFi even live TV programming can be recorded on the recast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can access the recordings and live tv through the Recast DVR box from your Fire TV stick or the FireTV app on your mobile devices. The FireTV Stick doesn’t record, it only accesses what has been recorded on the Recast DVR box. You do need a good internet speed for it all to work. I have Comcast 400 mbps package and it works great. You would probably need to contact Amazon Customer Service to see the minimum internet speed required. I would guess at least 40 mbps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes works with Firestick. There will be a dvr icon on the firestick once you install the recast. Recast does not need to be plugged in directly to the tv. Not sure about high spied is required .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The recast does not record from the internet. You can only record broadcast TV, through an antenna. The speed of replay though a fire stick is not dependent on your internet speed, but rather the speed of your home network and router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It records all the local channels (fox, abc, cbs ..etc) via the antenna, i only have 50 mg internet that is usually around 30, and they are all crystal clear HD! I do not record firestick shows as these are all streaming therefore no reason to take up hard drive space in my opinion. This device is worth it to cut the cord, wish i had done it much sooner!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since it records off an antenna, no you don’t need high speed internet. You can’t record off the Firestick as it doesn’t hook up to the Recast TV. I only have the 40 megabits speed AT&T Internet with the 4K Firestick, Sling TV and Netflix and all work fine. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.hey Badbob, we've just started using the fiireTV we had a Tivo before [which was great, but got damaged in a lighting strike]. I'll be honest not too sure how it all works but my thinking it only comes in play for OTA TV, which I must say it does a real nice job with. We are still learning the best way to use the box, but so far so good. hope I've helped you a bit. Bob
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Can’t record from fire-stick. Only antenna. Expect probably good internet would be helpful. Still trying to outsmart my smart TV.
