contact fitbit directly, they will replace it for free. I believe that is something that happens to them, it has happen to myself and a few others that I know....and we all got a free replacement.

I had the same issue with mine. Fitbit has a one year warranty. I called customer service and they are sending me a new one as a replacement at no cost. The customer service number is (877) 623-4997, M-F 4am-8pm // Sa,Su 6am-9pm (PT).

Call Fitbit customer service. They are super flexible. They replaced a Fitbit for me when the clasp broke and I was way past my warrantee.

If you purchase the Geek squad 2 year warranty as I did, you can get a new Fitbit. It is worth the cost for these products
