Bon it will still record steps if you need to occasionally carry it in your pocket. But do keep in mind since it is meant for your wrists it may not record as many steps then being on your waist. But it will get the job done for the most part. I do put mine in my pocket here and there and it shows minimal difference in steps. Of course, the HR function will not work while in your pocket.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, Bon. No, this tracker is not based upon the principles of a classic pedometer, and therefore, will not operate if carried in a pocket. The Charge HR is meant to be worn on the wrist, approximately two finger-widths above the ulnar process. The PurePulse system that monitors one's heart rate uses LED technology, and cannot determine your heart rate if the tracker is in your pocket, and accurate placement of the tracker is crucial to ensure the accuracy of statistics with this particular model. This feature is what differentiates the Charge HR from the Charge. Be sure to wear your tracker unless Fitbit specifies that the specific model your are purchasing may be worn/placed elsewhere.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes it will work in your pocket and still keep track of movements.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No- it needs your pulse; however, choose not to monitor my sleep so I don't have to wear it all night .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will count your steps. However it gets a little picky about stairs and obviously it won't track your heart rate. I have even hooked it on my belt loop when I need to make sure I don't get a tan line from it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't think so.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it will track everything except heart rate if you have it in your pocket.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely! When I go shopping and have my hand on the cart, I put the Fitbit in my pocket, so that it will record steps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Being that it's made to be worn on ur wrist, I don't advise wearing it in ur pocket. It might capture some steps but not all. They have smaller versions that are made for ur pocket. Like the Fitbit one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will. It's designed to track using a variety of methods. You can chose the method of wearing it from the app.
