It doesnt count your steps very well and when you shake it it will count it as stairs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can get a readout directly from the device. If you sync it with your phone or computer, I will keep stats for you. In my case, I think it seems to over count the number of steps in a day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Fitbit has readouts directly on it that gives the info for that day. The computer or iPhone will be necessary, as the data is stored there and a history kept there. I compared the accuracy with the computers on excercize equipment and the info was very close, so it is very accurate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In order to get the data and even to set up the account you will need an internet connection. Basic data can be reviewed and some settings can be dealt with on the app and more detailed info and more settings are available online. Accuracy...depends. If you are pushing something (stroller, grocery cart, etc) or holding things with your fitbit hand your steps will not be counted. It cannot count flights of stairs with any reliable accuracy whatsoever. Calorie counting portions of the app are abysmal. My experience with the fitbit recognizing (or not recognizing) other activities are mixed. When playing piano it counts every hit of the keys as a step. When raking or vacuuming each stroke is a step. While riding in a car or on a plane there are few, if any, miscounted steps. I had maybe 10 steps miscounted during a 4 hour flight with heavy turbulence and that was the worst. However, holding the strap of a backpack while walking caused it to miss steps. For distance measuring you can use the GPS or enter your average stride length. The GPS feature I have used twice for 1 mile walks and it logged 3 and 4 miles with the number of steps that would have gone with that distance. Bottom line is that this product is more accurate if you are looking strictly for counting steps while exercise walking. It is hit or miss otherwise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you need an iphone/android device. It is very accurate. Your steps do not have to be the same length and the band knows when you're running or walking. The band goes off of body movements so if you're driving something, the steps won't register.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The watch will show information like steps taken, distance, calories burned, and the time. You can also connect it to your iPhone. It also alerts you when someone calls your phone. However, it's not very accurate with calories or steps. I've lightly shaken it to see if it counts it as steps and it did. Plus it is barely water proof and it falls off easily. I would check out the charge HRS when it comes out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.not necessary so much better if you can.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The built-in screen will show a limited subset of information. For full information, the best way is to use the FitBit app on a smartphone (iPhone or Android).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your steps, distance and stairs perimeters are all determined by the movement of your body part that you Fitbit is attached to, whether it be your wrist, your ankle, et cetra. So, for example were it on your wrist (dominate or not) and you were walking OR running is more accurate than being on your wrist and you were typing, bowling, weight lifting or doing jumping jacks. So MOVEMENT of your wristband is the PRIMARY determining factor in the accuracy of the measurements. Be aware! SIMPLY GOOD!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to set up an account on the FitBit website to register your device to an account. Once you've registered you can start reviewing your activity right on the device. The value of syncing the device to your acct is its recording your activity on a day to day basis and provides daily/monthly stats on how active you are, measures consumption vs activity (if you sync with a food app) and monitors and assesses your sleep patterns. There are apps you can download on your phone (IPhone and android) so you can update your FitBit activity to your acct. You will need to charge it weekly on a PC. As for walking stride, go online and see what your stride length would be for your height/gender and use that measurement when you activate your account and that's as accurate as it will get. This tool is meant to push you to higher levels of activity, give or take a step or stair.
