I am unable to tell you what to do, however, the Fitbit Flex 2 is supposed to track swimming.

The manual and start up screens state that this model is not a swim tracker. It would have to be entered manually.

If your fitbit says on the box for swimming. Then all you have to do is go into the sets of exercise and turn it on . When you first get it . The fitbit doesn't have this feature turn on.

Mine works fine and tracks laps and swim time etc. I didn't do anything to set it up. I think I may have said swimming was one of my activities but I never put in pool length or anything. It tracks very accurately and somehow it knows the difference between swimming laps and doing aqua aerobics.

It's supposed to be a swim tracker. I haven't used it yet that way. I've seen a swim setting on the app you may have to turn on.
