Does what it says it'll do, tracks your steps, monitors your sleep, and finally they're waterproof so it can also track swimming laps.
I like how it has notifications for phone messages and movement reminders that you can opt in and out of.
It's light, comfortable and very easy to wear/use solid little fitness friend.
Down side is with certain settings it has a very short battery life, upside is if you set it right the charge last is about 4 days with continued wear. Charging isn't that slow either but it does take around an hour for a full recharge (I tend to charge it at night as tracking my sleep is a secondary use on it for me)

Love that it's not bulky and it looks like a bracelet. I bought some accessories that change it up. Love it! Nice little tracker that keeps me on track...

I bought this device for my wife and she loves it, now she can keep track of all her activities such as; calories burnt, how many steps a day she does and how much sleep she is getting. She gets a digital track of her activities through flex 2. She loves this device and I do too since she can now track everything she does with this device by simply downloading the app on to her phone or computer and by the end of the day she knows what she has done or what she needs to do to keep in track.

Loving the fitbit flex 2! It helps to keep me mindful of my day-to-day activities and how I sleep at night. Worked great right out of the box. Love seeing my activities tracked. Band is comfortable to wear all day and sleep with at night. Super lightweight too. Glad I went with the flex instead of a bigger band like the Alta. Very happy!

I've been wanting to get a Fitbit for a while, and so glad I did. It actually makes me want to get up and walk, exercise, watch my calorie intake, etc. Although I bought the very basic one, it does everything I need it to do, and at a very good price.

I am replacing my Fitbit Zip with the Fitbit Flex 2. I like the fact that it is a waterproof bracelet and can handle sweat when exercising. It works so well with my smart phone even though it's not a real expensive phone.

This is the basic fitness tracker. It has the necessary features that are needed for the average fitness savvy person, tracks no of steps, sleep, alarms, reminders, phone notification. The beat part is it is light and waterproof for those who swim.
No fancy features or display... I leave that to my Tag Heuer
Definitely recommend for no nonsense people

I chose this tracker based on the price tag associated with it. My requirement was to track the number of steps as part of fitness challenge incentive program at work. This tracker fits the role perfectly. Battery life is a huge plus, it can easily sustain 5+ days of usage. The ability to record sleep (tracker does automatically) and nutrition/calorie logging in the app is a bonus.

I have owned Surge and Alta before. Both have been great trackers and they still work. As the initial novelty of trackers faded, my real requirements from a tracker became clearer. Having spent countless minutes impatiently staring at my step counts, participating in futile challenges and brooding over my sleep, I was looking for something less intrusive. Timing of Flex 2 couldn't have been...well, timely. The reason I got Flex 2 is because it doesn't have a screen so no frantic taps to worry about. It has a much smaller form factor which makes you forget you are wearing one. It keeps track of steps, sleep and calories without breaking the bank and best of all, the tracker part is removable so it can be easily put in to the wrist-belt or can be accessorized with bangles and pendants (sold separately). I don't have much use for bangles and pendants so I bought a separate clip-on holder to tie this to my shirt pocket whenever I don't feel like wearing it on my wrist. I expected the battery life to be better than Alta but I felt it's the same so no improvement there. Overall this is a reliable tracker at a small price. If not for you, this could be a good gifting item this holiday season.

Accurately tracks my steps (seems to me its main function is as a pedometer). It alerts me when I've been sitting still for too long... usually 10 minutes before the top of each hour. Tracks my active minutes. For me this is walking or cycling, but it also tracks swimming (waterproof), aerobic exercise, etc. Through the app you can also monitor caloric and water intake, set exercise goals and weight loss goals. I really like the alerting functions that I have tied to my phone. I get an alert whenever I receive a text or phone call. My phone is often on silent mode, so this unexpected benefit was huge to me. It also tracks your sleep (time sleeping, restless and awake). I've found it to be quite accurate though I don't have sleep issues and so really don't use it. Package came with both the large and small adjustable wristbands, so this should fit just about any one. If I had complaints these would be minor. The power charge only seems to last about 2-1/2 days. This isn't an issue for me. Since I don't sleep with it I charge it each night with my phone. Also, I previously had a Fitbit Zip which required a battery. Charging is much better than buying a battery. That said the charge to full seems relatively short (2 or 3 hours). But, I can see if you are someone who would wear the tracker all the time (including sleeping) that this may be a hassle for you. Also, there is no heartbeat monitor or stairs (incline) counter/monitor. I knew this when buying and was not looking for either. If you are then this item is not for you. Otherwise, I think it's great for what it is and recommend it to someone wanting a reliable pedometer with some extra features.

Very non-digital person. Purchased this because of weight loss program requirement to count steps and this one of few models good for aqua aerobics. Takes a couple days to sync it all up with other apps and learn to use it, then it’s trouble free and does everything without me having to know very much about controlling anything. Handy relatively inexpensive addition to my health tracking. Would recommend this to those who don’t want a lot of remembering what button to push. This has no buttons.

I've owned four different fit bit models. This is my favorite. Small & lightweight. Easy to sleep in. Buzzes when I get a call, text, alert. Does just what I need it to do. I'm simple. Just want to track steps.

Easy to use, no frills. This is the option if you like your current watch and just want to track your exercise and sleeping habits. The battery lasts a really decent time, at least 5 days. Quick and easy to recharge. Getting wet not an issue. Flexible and less liable to damage than other models. Recommend over all other options.

Bought this to replace a Jawbone UP2. I really like the Flex 2. Although I really liked the Jawbone UP2, the band broke frequently. I like that I can swap out and replace the band on the Flex 2 easily. I do think that the Flex 2 is lighter and more comfortable than the UP2, but prefer the stylings of the UP2 a bit more.
Both Fitbit and Jawbone have pretty good App's, although I like Jawbone's a bit more.
My only real complaint is that the battery life on the Flex 2 is about half that about the UP2 (max 5 days vs. 10 days.)
In short, I really like the Flex 2 despite the short comings. Its comfortable, lightweight, fully waterproof (which I don't need, but nice to know), and the bands are replaceable. Overall, I would purchase this again.

This is a great tracker. It is light and I barely know it's on my wrist. The clasp is exceptional, easy to close and doesn't unclasp. It tracks my steps accurately and my sleep as well. The battery life is good but does seem to run low more quickly than I would have expected. However, the alerts I have set likely are responsible for that. When 10,000 steps are reached, the tracker gives me a little celebration of vibrations and lights! Love it!

I originally purchased this activity tracker to participate in a group challenge at work that measured steps for the workweek. I'm glad I did!
One of the biggest pluses I can say about this comes with the battery life on each charge. Being able to have this monitor on you for days at a time without worrying about battery is a gigantic positive! If you are looking to get a very consistent reading on your activity - what better way than truly wearing it for extended periods of time?
This activity tracker is also water resistant which is another notch in the "I don't have to take it off for certain activities" plus! So far I have had not had any issues with any exposure to water and look forward to trying this in the summer when swimming may come into my fitness routine.
The accompanying app and website for iOS has been a pleasure to use and has a lot of different options to see your progress. Although I don't really use the notification ability - it's nice to know that it is there. The goal reaching alert though always gives me a boost when I realize I reached my goal for the day!
One feature that I was very interested in checking out was the sleep monitor. Granted this isn't hooked into brain waves or anything like that, but I must say, for me at least this feature was scary accurate. I know people have had mixed results on this, but to my best knowledge, the "restless" moments during the night were spot on and the hours count was eye opening (both in accuracy and the fact I'm not getting as much as I should be)! The fact that this has been accurate also highlights how I can wear the tracker for days without charging. If I had to charge it every day I'd charge it while sleeping!
In terms of fit and feel, there's enough on the included band to find the right fit that I forget that it's even there. Long sleeve and even during intense HIIT workouts, it does NOT get in the way during pushups or any other type of activity that has given me trouble on other wearables. Granted there's no screen so it's a lot slimmer - but at the same time the no screen is also a plus with the slim structure!
So if you're wondering why I didn't give it a full 5 stars - I would simply say because of the fact it is somewhat limited in readings. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it doesn't have every feature you might be in the market for - you may want to get a more advanced model for heart rate for example.
For it's class though, this product is top notch and if the feature set fits your needs I wouldn't hesitate at all buying this wearable!

I bought this not quite knowing what it's full capabilities were (I'm a bit of a technophobe). I was able to set it up with even my limited capabilities thinking it was essentially just an electronic pedometer. I was pleasantly surprised it was soooo much more. It allows me to put in my food log and tell me how many more calories I have. It increases that when I continue to do my part to burn calories through walknig or various exercises. It also logs my sleep cycle and gives me goals for how much sleep I'd like to get in. Same goes for weight loss goals. It allows me to tell it how much I want to lose and at what pace I can lose it at. It will also help me maitain my weight when I've hit my goal with a new set of suggestions for caloric intake and output. I kind of find myself excited for my weekly weigh in and watch the little graph chart decline. I also force myself to hit my goal steps when I can actually see what I have left to do. It vibrates when you've been succesful at something (a sort of mini applause). My only frustration is that often there is a delay in displaying how many steps I've put in. Frustrating when you're watching it as you work out and want to see the numbers climb in real time. Can't beat the price and I am working harder than I have before as far as losing weight because I have this little partner helping me and oddly encouraging me.

I bought this recently to replace a lost Alta. I like the size of the flex and I don't miss the screen on the Alta. I find charging the device to be less convenient and the battery life to be significantly less.
