Yes, you can wear it during biking. Because it even track while driving. you maybe able to wear on your ankle if it very small. Otherwise, you can only wear it on your wrist.

Maybe they were close.. I do know that the one that fit my wrist was not the exact size for my ankle, I would have to wear a bigger band for my ankle. So I just kept it in my sock...
