Is the IPhone 4 compatible with the Fitbit Flex null

The Fitbit app should work with a 4.

Requires iOS 7.0 or above - so, yes.

It should be as long as you have bluetooth and the app on your phone, there should be no problems!

Check the IOS level for the app in iPhone apps store. There no reason it shouldn't be but I have noticed lately that Apple's apps are tending to ask for the latest IOS levels I guess to force people to migrate off old HW. You can do that when you own both sides of the equation HW/SW.

Only iPhone 4S and higher. If you have a tablet or other (computer, laptop etc), I think you can sync it to that instead.

Clean connectors and stick a paper clip in the hole to reset it while it's charging
