• There is a subscription fee for some of the Fitstar workouts, from what I understand there are some free Fitstar workouts but if you want more then it requires a subscription. Either $7.99 per month or $39.99 per year

• There is no monthly fee on the Ionic. The only watch I know of with a monthly fee is the new Apple Watch.
