“Is this waterproof or water resistant? I swim, bike and run 3 times a week and would like to know if it is wearable in the pool. If not, how would it track my activity when I am in the water?”

Fitbit one is water resistant not waterproof. It should not be worn swimming. It is rain, splash and sweat-proof. Check out fitbit flex. Also listed as water resistant but it says it can be submerged up to 10 meters
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is not waterproof, however, I did drop mine In a lake once, and had to spend about 15 minutes searching for it under water. Found it on the bottom of the lake and it worked just fine. Although, I would not purposely test that.

I accidently got in the shower with my Fitbit clipped on my bathing suit without a problem, but I wouldn't swim with it. To track swimming, you just need to pay attention to how long you swam and then manually enter the time and the distance, if known, on the Fitbit website, under the activities tab. Someone at Fitbit told me lately that they are in the process of developing a waterproof version. If you need more help with logging activities, the online Fitbit support is very good. There's a whole community of users there to help you!
