• yes but you will need to log in your sleeping logs. Go to the screen for sleeping and log in your are sleeping.

• Yes, it does by monitoring your HR and arm movement. So if you move around its going to register as "restless".

• It does. Being asleep, I can't really verify its accuracy, but the Fitbit app shows what the Surge recorded as far as the sleep pattern.
