• Yes you can. The camera would be shooting through the thin plastic window so make sure it's clean before you shoot. You can also shoot pics with the flap closed. I've taken pics both ways and both turn out well.

• Yes, you definitely can. However, I would make sure that the window is clean. Otherwise your image may look a bit blurry.
