Walls, floors, furniture, and appliances all block wifi signals. Even with the best wifi router and minimal obstructions, wifi signals get weaker as they travel. If your router is far away from your Ring products, you may want to consider moving it closer, or adding a Ring Chime Pro or a mesh networking system to extend your wifi network. One of the most important measurements in your Ring security network is the strength of your wifi signal. Since every element of your system uses wifi to communicate with every other element of your system, it’s critical to get as strong a signal as possible. You can run a connectivity test when you set up a new device to check the strength of your signal. Here is a helpful article to learn more about running a connectivity test: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020638172-Test-Your-Wifi-Connections. We invite you to reach out at https://community.ring.com/ if any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Floodlight Wired Pro pre-purchase question. Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another and share their feedback/experiences with Ring. Thank you, Alexis with Ring
