• There is a setting on the watch you must enable. Push the big button and go to Settings. Find Phone and go from there. The phone must be Android. Please also know this can take up the power a little faster.

• The location of the microphone won't work on left handers as it will be facing the wrong direction. I am just assuming. But really though if your phone is close enough that the bluetooth works well enough for audio...use the phone. I say that as some one who always wears pants that have a dedicated phone pocket that isn't sat on. No matter how hard you try, physics always wins.
