“On the item title it says up to 3 mos. In the confirmation email it says up to 2 months. When I added it to my Apple account, it says 1 month. When I tried to activate, it said only valid for existing customers. What gives?”

It must recognize you’ve already redeemed free “x” amount of months of apple music already!
