Because nothing in life is truly freee and if you continue the subscription they need to charge it to someone card

The first six months is free but if you don’t cancel, you’ll be charged full price for the next month. Think of it more of a 6 month trial - not free. This is pretty standard. If you forget to cancel, you will get charged so they need a way to charge you

Please try again later.most likely you'd need to enter a form of payment, as the free offer is intended to eventually have you be a paying monthly subscriber, so, you'd have to have a payment method in there for that to happen. Theoretically, you can change the payment method later if you wish, you might even be able to make it to method of "NONE", although I'm not certain of that. If worse came to worse, you could get some sort of debit card, or pre-paid credit card, that would limit the amount it could get charged, or, you could eventually theoretically cancel the card, as in you report it lost or stolen, which could happen...
