• You can activate it with an existing Apple subscription that subscription will have to expire before you can add I’m not sure if canceling your subscription will make you eligible

• Maybe YES or NO. Depends on long you have stepped away from that specific offer as per the rules and regulations determined by the offer provider. Sometimes one doesn’t get the offer at all or gets a decreased portion of the offer or gets the full offer. That’s my experience with for e.g Apple promotional offers.
