A small flat screen television uses very little power, probably under 30W, so you should be fine, but check the power requirements on the set. I just wouldn't recommend something like this for a high-energy device, like a heater, air conditioner, or laser printer, where it might work, but only for a VERY short period. I have used one for an average-sized fan, charging a laptop, powering a modem and router--all for several hours,
