Hello Linnie. This product performs well between a 50 and 110 degree ambient. For colder months, below 50 degree ambient, the freezer control should be adjusted to the coldest setting. The product will operate down to 39 degree ambient, but there is risk of food items freezing in the fresh food compartment. To reduce the risk of food freezing, the fresh food control should be adjusted to warmer setting. You should be good to go. ~ Anna
