Hi, Manders! In an enclosed space, the door should be able to swing open 90 degrees as long as the hinge is not covered by surrounding cabinetry. Additional space around the hinge side or less depth in the cutout would allow it to swing a bit wider. The depth has been measured with the door 90-degrees open at 43 inches. ~Ashton
