• Yes, 24” is wide and deep enough and 34” is actually tall enough. If you have more it’ll help it breath a bit more.

• Hi, Jeanne! It is not recommended, as carpet holds heat and blocks air flow from the fan, compressor and cooling system which can prevent them from losing heat, leading them to overheat and eventually break down. ~ Christy
